It had to happen - fried stuff

We needed to fill a big gap in the Odyssey, so we stooped to the deep fried goodies of Harold's Chicken Shack.  Still feeling a little guilty...

Always the most crowded truck.  All that stuff can't come from one truck!

Bill samples the Bruges life

Pal Bill Halvorsen joined the trek at the best possible time - a Bruges Brothers appearance - but made a rookie mistake by choosing plain fries and sauces (bland, he reported; if only he had started with a Croque Madame!!) but he'll learn....

Identify this truck

Late, hungry, we grabbed tacos and went back to our desks.  Who were those guys?  El Jefe?   Scrolled through the lineup on https://www.chicagofoodtruckfinder.com/trucks and couldn't find them.  Help!

La Humita On Wheels

The website roaminghunger.com has this to say about our destination last Thursday:  Run by two brothers with a passion for big eats, La Humita's served Chicago its finest Ecuadorian delicacies for over a decade, drawing in fans from all over Illinois. Now La Humita's looking to expand, with a food truck equipped to handle any and all mouths it hasn't reached yet. And it's not stopping til it achieves total domination.

La Humita's domination all adds up to your satisfaction, so catch them next time they're out to catch the very best in Latin flavor, authentically prepared and delivered straight to you, no trekking required. A hearty selection of stews, sandwiches, platters and more are all onboard, waiting to greet you with soul and warmth. We're not trying to run your life or anything, but might be best not to leave them waiting.

We had the carne asada; the truck was right outside the building on Columbus Drive.
